Loyolamod: Loyola Moderators' E-group

Why we created Loyolamod@yahoogroups

Service providers like Yahoogroups do not allow us to cross-post to moderators of different e-groups. This hinders quick and easy communication across batches. To facilitate faster dissemination of information regarding events, requests for help, queries, etc., it is desirable to have a meta-group of Loyola moderators. Loyolamod fulfills the need in an inexpensive, simple and decentralised way.

Features of Loyolamod@yahoogroups

1-2 persons from each Loyola e-group join Loyolamod and pass the messages to their batch's e-group, when necessary.
Members post to Loyolamod when they want to communicate with Loyolites of other batches.
Only invited persons can join Loyolamod. If you are the moderator of a Loyola alumni e-group, please e-mail the Loyolamod owner at loyolamod-owner@yahoogroups.com. Give your full name, your batch, your batch e-group name, and your preferred e-mail ID for inclusion in Loyolamod.
Messages are unmoderated.
Jokes and articles unrelated to Loyola are not traded.

"I'm a Loyolite and I want to send mail to other batches"

If you are a Loyolite wanting to communicate to Loyolites of other batches, send your message to the moderator of your batch's e-group. He'll forward it to other Loyolites via Loyolamod. If your batch does not have an e-group, please send your mail to nobles@rediffmail.com. We'll forward it via Loyolamod.

Use Loyolamod to reach the following batches: 1977, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001

Please note: Each member of Loyolamod enjoys discretionary power. He decides whether a message should be forwarded to his batch's e-group or not.
